Welcome by Mayor Norma Torres; breakfast will be served by Kiwanis Club at 8 am. Groups will be bussed around Pomona to clean a street or two. Back at Ganesha Park the souvenir wristband allows participants free food prepared by Josh and his Grill Masters. While Ritchie's Band performs people can eat, relax, hang-out and collect their College information. Students should stay to find out if they are a the winner of one of the book funds of up to $500, CD's, or T-Shirts among other great prices, with their winning raffle number. A list of donors is found on this site.
Future college students from the middle and high schools will get acquainted and connect with participating college students. Some only dare to dream of going to college one day. This day can show them how College can be: "A dream come true!"
The Zero Tolerance policy on gangs of Mayor Torres creates the opportunity to participate in giving Pomona back to the people that love it, by eliminating gang graffiti and cleaning up.
